Covid: 10 new deaths

New Zealand recorded 4,990 Covid cases yesterday and a further 10 deaths. There are 379 people in hospital with the virus. The deaths take the total number that are Covid-related to 1,055 while the seven-day rolling average of reported deaths is 12. Two people were in their 70s, six were in their 80s and two were aged over 90. Sixty cases were recorded at the border. There are just over 55,500 active community cases.
