Allan backs laws
Minister of Justice Kiri Allan says hate-speech laws aren’t about stopping people from insulting others. After consulting on six proposals, she says that just one change is being made, to address incitement towards religious communities. Act and National are against it, while the Greens say it needs to go further. Allan says the thresholds are high.
