Young woman seriously injured in one of two Napier road crashes reported yesterday
Awoman in her 20s was being assessed yesterday afternoon in Hawke’s Bay Hospital after a car crashed into a power pole in Napier. A police spokesperson confirmed the road was reopened after debris from a power pole blocked one lane of Coventry Ave in Tamatea following a crash at 11.15am.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one person was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.
A Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay spokeswoman said the woman in her 20s was being assessed in ED as of yesterday afternoon.
There were no known reported power outages in the area recorded on the Unison website following the incident.
Another crash was reported yesterday near a new pedestrian crossing that was recently opened near McLean Park in Napier.
That two-vehicle crash happened about 7.30am on Latham St.
No pedestrians were injured, but one person involved in the crash was taken to hospital in a moderate condition, Hato Hone St John ambulance confirmed.
Police and fire services also attended the crash.
A tow truck was at the scene shortly after the incident.
The Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay spokeswoman said a male in his 20s was in a stable condition as of yesterday morning following a crash in Fernhill on Saturday afternoon.
The man was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital after a car crashed into a pole at Swamp Rd, Fernhill.
