Teachers weigh offer

More than 1000 high school teachers in East Coast and Hawke’s Bay will attend paid union meetings next week to discuss the Government’s recent offer for a new collective agreement. PPTA Te Wehengarua members want a cost of living-adjusted pay increase, significantly more guidance counselling staff to work with students who are seriously struggling, and some workload controls.
