Softball: World men’s softball champions Argentina have revealed the Black Sox have been their blueprint over the years to get to the top. The two sides were to meet last night in the third round of pool play, with New Zealand smarting from a 7-nil drubbing at the hands of the USA, and Argentina undefeated. Argentine coach Julio Garmarci says he knows Mark Sorenson well from his playing days in the US and they’ve copied a lot of things about him and the Black Sox. Canada thrashed South Africa 11-nil in the first match yesterday.
