Shadbolt car under fire

Invercargill Mayor Tim Shadbolt has come under fire from the Taxpayers Union for using “the most expensive ratepayer-funded mayoral vehicle in the country”. The council spent $72,323 on a Chrysler 300C for Shadbolt, and defended that cost citing its road handling, the use it got and the plan to keep it after the next election.
