Fishing ra¯ hui extended

A ra¯ hui banning fishing at Maunganui Bay, also known as Deep Water Cove, in the Bay of Islands has been extended by two more years to 2020. The extension came after 1039 people made submissions to Fisheries NZ in support of rolling over the ra¯ hui, which was first declared in 2010 by local hapu¯ Nga¯ti Kuta and Patukeha. The ban applies to all species except kina.
