Southern California has a new attraction for Hello Kitty fans with the opening of a cafe in the Irvine Spectrum Centre in Orange County, dedicated to everybody’s favourite Japanese cartoon kitten. The white, gold and very pink Hello Kitty Grand Cafe is now serving super-cute afternoon tea daily (NZ$85) as well as themed cocktails (reservations only, Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm). Truly dedicated fans can book the private Bow Room, a hidden space in the cafe, for private celebrations.
