You never know what kind of weird old movies you may find if you scrat about on the Amazon Prime Video database long enough. Who knows, you may even find a lost New Zealand classic like Came a Hot Friday. Ian Mune’s adaptation of Ronald Hugh Morrieson’s 1940s smalltown horse-racing crime caper was a hit when it came out, winning a slew of accolades at the 1986 Film and TV Awards, but you don’t hear about it much these days, do ya? Billy T James memorably stars as The Tainuia Kid.
