Lawyer to stand

The National Party has selected a new candidate for the CluthaSouthland electorate for this year’s election. Disgraced MP Hamish Walker was set to stand again before he resigned after his part in the Covid-19 patient details email leak scandal. The party has announced Joseph Mooney, a senior trial lawyer who’s built his own law practice in the Southern region, will take his place.
