Tournament backed

The Government has re-affirmed its commitment to support the hosting of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, delayed to 2022. The International Cricket Council yesterday announced the delay, because of the pandemic. “We will keep working with New Zealand Cricket on how we can provide opportunities for internationals to be played over the summer,” Sport Minister Grant Robertson said.
