Pulse pound Steel to make final
The Central Pulse have booked their spot in netball’s ANZ Premiership final with a 49-34 victory over the Southern Steel. Playing in Invercargill, where the final will be in two weeks, the Pulse cruised to a 16-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, and the injury-hit Steel didn’t have the energy or depth to mount a comeback, having beaten the Northern Mystics the night before. The Pulse will face the Mystics or Mainland Tactix in the final, with the two sides meeting this afternoon in a pivotal clash. The Steel remain fifth, five points ahead of the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic, who play the Northern Stars tonight.
