Teenager stars as Roosters run down Sharks

-

Saw Walker starred as the Sydney Roosters overturned a 14-point deficit to beat the Cronulla Sharks 26-18 last night. The Sharks led 18-4 heading into the final quarter before the Roosters stormed back, with 18-year-old Walker scoring one try and setting up three others. Defending premiers Melbourne returned to Stadium Australia in Sydney for the first time since their grand final win and wasted no time piling on more pain for Canterbury with a 52-18 NRL demolition. Cameron Munster and Ryan Papenhuyzen were at their roaming best to set up a 30-6 lead. David Fifita’s first NRL hat-trick ignited Gold Coast’s thumping 42-16 victory over Newcastle in Robina as the Titans turned on the razzle-dazzle. Corey Thompson and former Warrior Patrick Herbert bagged doubles, and lock Tyrone Peachey was back to his best.
