Ko moves up at Lake Merced
Lydia Ko moved into contention at the LPGA’s Mediheal Championship in San Francisco with the two-under par of 70 that moved her to a tie for 20th but just five shots off the lead held by her friend Danielle Kang, who shot a scorching 66 to get to seven-under par. New Zealander Ko had three birdies and a late bogey at Lake Merced for an improved second round after she dished up five bogeys to offset five birdies in the first round. On the PGA Tour, Kiwi Danny Lee shot a two-over par 73 to be level par and nine shots off the lead held by Chesson Hadley at 11-under in South Carolina.
