Attacker sentenced

A man who attacked Oamaru police Sergeant Tony Woodbridge has been sentenced to four months’ home detention. Joshua John Chellew, 33, faced four charges including assault with a weapon and aggravated injury after the attack that left Woodbridge with a broken nose, sprained thumb, cuts, concussion, bruises and grazes.
