Ko well back of Irish rookie

-

Lydia Ko snuck inside the cut line and is 11 shots off the lead held by Ireland’s Leona Maguire at the LPGA’s Meijer Classic. It’s the second straight week the Irish rookie has topped a leaderboard. The 26-year-old is trying to become the first Irish winner in LPGA Tour history. Last week in California, she tied for ninth in the LPGA Mediheal Championship after leading after the first round. Maguire shot an eight under par 64 to be at 15 under, three shots clear of Australian Su Oh. Ko had a second 69 to be four under. The women’s third major, the PGA Championship, is next week at Atlanta Athletic Club.
