Dragons fire as Raiders gone with the wind

-

Ben Hunt ran riot and Corey Norman scored the winning try as St George Illawarra surged home to run down Canberra 22-20 in their NRL match at WIN Stadium in Wollongong last night. The Raiders again let a first-half lead slip, getting out to 20-8 in the second stanza before the Dragons rode home gusts of up to 65km/h with a couple of crucial 40/20s. The Melbourne Storm went top of the table with a comprehensive 66-16 shellacking of Wests Tigers at Sunshine Coast Stadium last night. The win was the Storm’s 12th in a row and the Tigers had no answer to a withering start as they conceded five converted tries to trail 30-0 after just 17 minutes and 40-0 at the break. Melbourne hit 60-0 with half an hour still to play before the Tigers achieved a sliver of respectability with three late tries.
