ALL BLACKS
15 Damian McKENZIE
Heavily involved in the attack early. Had some important touches in a lot of the backline moves and scored the opening try.
14 Will JORDAN
Ran the ball hard into contact, breaking tackles and igniting attacking moves. Scored a bunch of tries.
13 Rieko IOANE
Was damaging with ball in hand, and flashed his offloading ability. Struggled to get into the game early, though.
12 Quinn TUPAEA
Solid on debut in a 63-minute effort. Made some strong carries, was secure with ball in hand and defended well.
11 George BRIDGE
Took the opportunities that were presented to him out wide, and looked threatening every time he got the ball.
10 Richie MO’UNGA
With the free-flowing attack, Mo'unga had several important touches in build-up play. Goal kicking was not great.
9 Brad WEBER
Took smart options and provided good service from the ruck. He ran well in support and was rewarded with three tries.
8 Luke JACOBSON
Was a force in the cleanout and tried to get over the ball to force turnovers. Showed his strength to score a try as well.
7 Dalton PAPALII
Contested every breakdown he could possibly get to, charged hard with ball in hand and scored a couple of tries.
6 Akira IOANE
Worked hard on attack across the park with strong carries, bumping off defenders. Worked hard at the breakdown.
5 Sam WHITELOCK
Led the way defensively with double-digit tackles and worked hard at the breakdown, although did concede a few penalties.
4 Scott BARRETT
Was solid across the park, but the way the match played out didn't really allow him to play his best game of football.
3 Angus TA’AVAO
Tackled well and showed some speed with ball in hand, crashing through the defensive line and setting up his teammates.
2 Dane COLES
Showed everything he had in his utility belt — running with intent, defending well, and he even put a kick in and contested a lineout.
1 Karl TU'INUKUAFE
Strong at the set piece and charged with ball in hand, but gave up territory at times, be it through turnovers or penalties.
