ALL BLACKS
15 Jordie BARRETT
Heavily involved with his kicking game and ball handling. Held his ground defensively and provided a secondary play-maker.
14 Sevu REECE
Ran the ball with plenty of intent and at times split open the Fijian defensive line, and made his tackles when called upon.
13 Rieko IOANE
Had some nice touches with ball in hand, although probably would have liked to get more involved in the attack.
12 David HAVILI
Showed his class with ball in hand with two welltaken tries. Spent time in the sin bin in the second half.
11 George BRIDGE
Didn't have too many opportunites but eventually found a way into the game and took his chance to score.
10 Beauden BARRETT
Did plenty of good work with ball in hand. He made the right plays as they were needed; goal-kicking wasn't too flash, though.
9 Aaron SMITH
Led the team well in his first game as All Blacks captain. Guided his teammates and delivered crisp ball from the ruck.
8 Hoskins SOTUTU
Tried to make things happen with ball in hand, albeit with little success, and got outworked a bit at the breakdown.
7 Ethan BLACKADDER
Tried to get involved in his first All Blacks start on both sides of the ball. Was welcomed to the physical side of test rugby.
6 Shannon FRIZELL
Struggled to get involved on the attacking side of the ball but was a force defensively and in the contact areas.
5 Brodie RETALLICK
Solid at the set piece and the breakdown; went the full 80. A strong effort in his return to test match football.
4 Patrick TUIPULOTU
Had some forgettable moments and conceded some turnovers, but was strong at the set piece and defensively.
3 Nepo LAULALA
Worked hard in the contact areas, despite Fiji getting the better of the breakdown. He was solid at the scrum.
2 Codie TAYLOR
Strong at the set piece and tried hard in the contact areas. Didn't have many opportunities to get his hands on the ball.
1 George BOWER
Put in a huge effort defensively, making 11 tackles in his first start for the side, and was reliable at the set piece.
