Want more plants? Root herb cuttings in water

-

Most annual and some perennial herbs will grow roots if cuttings are placed in water. Try mint, basil, lemon balm, lemon verbena, marjoram, oregano, lemongrass and feverfew. Choose healthy plants and pick non-flowering stems; remove any buds and bottom leaves from the stems. Place your glass in bright light but avoid direct light. Change the water daily to prevent bacteria from growing. Once the roots are 1cm long, pot up in soil.
