CLASSY URBAN SANCTUARY

-

Martin didn’t want to build any old run of the mill townhouse. He wanted to create one that would encapsulate a chic contemporary aesthetic and make everyone’s jaw drop. ‘‘This home is all about the wow factor.’’

His motivation for building the townhouse was a desire to create distinctive, spacious, and flexible living spaces, indoors and out, that made best use of the sun and natural light. Two outdoor living spaces reflect how closely Martin followed his own brief. Natural extensions of the interior, these generoussized niches enable access to allday sun and are integral to everyday life.

They are enveloped in beautifully landscaped gardens and are drawcards for day and nighttime living.

The home wasn’t simply built for the here and now. It is endowed with future-proofing features and eventualities that may arise, such as the addition of a mezzanine ensuite and a heat pump in the master bedroom. Plumbing, piping, and wiring are all in place. Nothing has been left to chance. 6x2 framing was used for 50 per cent increase in wall insulation and noise insulation in the internal walls around the master suite creates a hushed haven. The master bedroom is Martin’s favourite part of the house. ‘‘It’s a sanctuary within a sanctuary.’’

This private oasis has a walkin wardrobe and a luxurious ensuite with a slipper bath. It’s easy to picture yourself soaking in the tub and admiring the outlook over the screened garden.

A double bedroom, living area or studio feature at mezzanine level. The separate study offers sun-drenched relaxation and outdoor access.

A timelessly elegant aura engulfs this brand-new build which opens its heart to guests and is ideal for entertaining. A high, soaring ceiling amplifies the sense of space and light, and stunning fixtures and stylish de´cor remind guests that this is no ordinary home. The crisp, white designer kitchen is a model of efficiency, perfect for hosting. Its movable island is a nifty feature.

Swathes of double-glazing flood the living domain with light and uplift the mood while a series of exit points blur the line between indoors and out. Extensive deck areas beckon from every door.

The home’s thoughtfully conceived floor plan, low maintenance mindset and central city location speak volumes for quality lifestyle. Couples and singles will be smitten. With the CBD, Victoria Esplanade and river walkway minutes away, recreation, cafes and everyday amenities are at your beck and call.
