Enjoyable read for reluctant readers

Junior is a very over-excited puppy, the narrator of this new series from the bestselling author of the Middle School books for young readers.

He gives his own perspective on life with his new owner Ruff from the Middle School series. Junior shares the important parts of a dog’s life — where to hide snacks, his kennel and his scary rival, the vacuum cleaner.

Richard Watson’s comic illustrations make this an easy read and at the end there are some activities including a word search and spot the difference.

Patterson’s books have sold more than 365 million copies worldwide, while Butler is an actor, voice artist and awardwinning author of The Diary of Dennis the Menace series.

This will be a useful book for reluctant readers to get into a book for pure fun.
