Beauty out of paper for hospice
Arohanui Hospice Horowhenua Centre is always looking for interesting craftspeople or entertainers to come along to their Wednesday Creative Living sessions to entertain their patients.
Wendy Anderson of Just Imagine is a local paper florist who demonstrated the art of making paper flowers and due to popular demand for her craft, she has had to return a couple of times.
Wendy started making paper and tissue flowers after teaching herself, and now belongs to a world-wide paper florist community.
She has received templates from the UK for roses and makes lifelike bouquets for weddings, parties and gifts.
Wendy wanted to make something special for the Arohanui Hospice and donated a wall display of flowers named Beth Healey roses, in memory of a family friend.
She also made a gladioli bouquet for the Centre Coordinator who leaves this week.
Paper Florist Wendy Anderson presented Levin’s Hospice with these paper flowers.
