Gingerbread is a winner

Horowhenua Chronicle - - NEWS -

Levin’s champion baker Kerri Mill has again excelled in her support for the Levin RDA Group in this year’s Gingerbread Horse Challenge.

As well as baking, decorating and selling a large number of gingerbread horse biscuits, she has also made a gingerbread stable and horses for RDA’s annual raffle.

The stable is a replica of Levin Group’s Ann Smith Arena at Speldhurst Country Estate, and the horses resemble the Group’s seven horses.

Levin RDA says it is delighted and thank her and all the other bakers who have taken part in this annual fundraising event.

They also thanked everyone who had bought and enjoyed the biscuits.

The money raised from the challenge comes back to Levin RDA, and helps to continue providing the riding therapy programme for disabled children and adults in Ka¯ piti, Horowhenua and Manawatu¯ .

Levin RDA is selling raffle tickets this week in the Levin Mall (Monday to Thursday 3-6 September).

Prizes include petrol, supermarket and Farmers’ vouchers and the gingerbread stable and horses.
