Horowhenua Chronicle - - NEWS -

BILL STIRLING Grey Power member, Levin The shocking tragedy that occurred in Perth has touched the lives of many in Levin.

The victims were the daughter, granddaughter and greatgrandchildren of the late Howard and Kay Kempton who lived at the Masonic Village. Kay died in 2012 and Howard a few years earlier.

Kay was a long term member and ex-president of the Waiopehu Women’s Institute and was nominated by them to receive a Gold Honour badge, the highest award given by the NZ organisation.

The deceased mother-in-law of the tragedy, Beverley, was known to many members from her visits to Levin, as was her older sister Maureen who has flown to Perth to deal with the situation.

The many friends of the late Howard and Kay extend their deepest sympathy to Maureen and her siblings as they deal with their terrible loss. NAME SUPPLIED Levin
