Temporary home found for recycling
The Greenheart Hub is still working on getting the roof of the old Foxton racecourse Tote building replaced.
The Racecourse officials have come to their aid, offering a temporary home for the art recycling arm of the Greenheart Hub under the grandstand.
“Renovations have started,” said Greenheart Hub coordinator Amba Wright. “Two organisations have already emptied their storage from the space. There are just a few bits from another organisations to clear and we are ready to start freshening up with paint.” The old carpet was ripped up on Monday, cobwebs removed, followed by a good sweep and it is already looking like remarkably better. We are hopeful the Art Recycling will be moving in before this year comes to an end.”
In the meantime things are evolving at the racecourse, moving in next door to Greenheart Hub is a Men’s Shed.
“Our website will be up and running in the near future, which will make it easier to keep an eye on where our project is at, what recycled products are available to purchase and the workshops that are on offer,” said Amba. The trust has begun work on a plan for a community garden. Volunteers are always welcome. Contact Greenheart Hub Trust:0276008638, or email@example.com
