Levin house razed in fire

A Levin house was gut­ted by fire in the early hours of Wed­nes­day morn­ing.

Emer­gency ser­vices at­tended the blaze on Liver­pool Street around 1am and the fire was con­tained.

No one was in the prop­erty at the time and no in­juries were re­ported.

Pos­ses­sions could be seen stacked up in­side the se­verely dam­aged house.

Po­lice and fire in­ves­ti­ga­tors were at the scene later on Wed­nes­day morn­ing.

A spokesman said the cause of the fire was un­de­ter­mined.

It was un­known if the owner, who a rel­a­tive said lived in the prop­erty part-time had in­sur­ance.
