Levin house razed in fire

A Levin house was gutted by fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services attended the blaze on Liverpool Street around 1am and the fire was contained.

No one was in the property at the time and no injuries were reported.

Possession­s could be seen stacked up inside the severely damaged house.

Police and fire investigat­ors were at the scene later on Wednesday morning.

A spokesman said the cause of the fire was undetermin­ed.

It was unknown if the owner, who a relative said lived in the property part-time had insurance.
