Next week there will be: 25 ylg F/Angus steers, 30 ylg F/Angus heifers, 10 ylg Angus heifers, 20 wnr hfrs, 20 wnr bulls/steers.

The rostrum was full at Rongotea this week with some new faces pushing prices for heavier cattle upwards as the grass market took hold, livestock agent Darryl Harwood reported.
3 year Friesian Hereford heifers 602 kg made $1530.
2 year Friesian Hereford steers 381kg440kg traded between $3.02-$3.08/kg, Angus cross steers 486 kg made $1270 and Friesian steers 428kg-578kg traded between $2.6-$2.68 / kg.
2 year Jersey bulls 300kg-378kg traded from $2.34-$2.36/kg.
2 year Friesian Hereford heifers 420kg440kg realised $2.84-$2.97/kg and 18 month Friesian - Hereford heifers 268kg made $840.
Yearling Friesian Hereford steers 315kg-405kg traded from $2.89-$3.11/kg and Friesian cross steers 358kg made $855.
Yearling Friesian Hereford bulls 335kg-370 kg traded between $2.89-$2.96/kg.
Yearling Friesian Hereford heifers 228kg-387kg traded from $2.59-$3.46/kg and Friesian cross heifers 235kg-360kg traded between $1.74-$2.77/kg.
In the weaner pens, Friesian bulls: 100kg-190kg made $370-$565, Friesian – Hereford bulls 85kg-150kg made $400-$500 and Friesian cross bulls 93kg-125kg made $300-$335.
