Christmas shoeboxes ready for delivery

Horowhenua Chronicle - - NEWS -

Volunteers of all ages spent much of Monday morning carting shoeboxes full of Christmas presents into Levin’s Memorial Hall.

Almost 1500 boxes were put together by local people and businesses to help make Christmas a bit easier on families who do not have much this year,

Once the piles of boxes — some properly wrapped as presents with fancy paper — have been sorted they will be receiving a bow and then stacked by age groups, then street names.

On Wednesday and Thursday this week volunteers will be delivering these shoeboxes around the district.

Christmas present shoeboxes are piling up in Levin’s Memorial Hall.
