Picture this: MP’s office opens its art
Labour Party colleagues help Ngobi celebrate
Terisa Ngobi’s Levin office is finally open for business. The who’s who in the local Labour party plus a number of Labour MPs from surrounding districts turned out for the opening last Friday night.
Levin Intermediate School brought the entertainment with Tongan and Samoan dance and song. Lindsay Poutama from Nga¯ ti Tukorehe did the official welcome while Matua Marokopa WiremuMatakatea from Muau¯poko had done the blessing earlier.
Mayor Bernie Wanden and councillor Victoria KayeSimmons were also there.
The office is adorned with artworks from local artists, many of which are for sale.
