Picture this: MP’s office opens its art

Labour Party colleagues help Ngobi celebrate

Terisa Ngobi’s Levin office is finally open for business. The who’s who in the local Labour party plus a number of Labour MPs from surroundin­g districts turned out for the opening last Friday night.

Levin Intermedia­te School brought the entertainm­ent with Tongan and Samoan dance and song. Lindsay Poutama from Nga¯ ti Tukorehe did the official welcome while Matua Marokopa WiremuMata­katea from Muau¯poko had done the blessing earlier.

Mayor Bernie Wanden and councillor Victoria KayeSimmon­s were also there.

The office is adorned with artworks from local artists, many of which are for sale.
