Safari Green RAV4 Adventure embraces petrol-electric for 2022

Toyota New Zealand is expanding its RAV4 hybrid offering – which now includes the Adventure model.

Pitched as the hero model of the latest RAV4 range when it was launched in 2019, the Adventure model has unique frontal styling, specific interior touches (including a different front seat design) and a more off-tarmac-optimised chassis.

But it’s previously only been offered with the 2.5-litre petrol engine.

The facelifted RAV4 range now includes a $56,990 Adventure petrolelectric hybrid (a $4700 premium over the standard petrol model).

Other changes to the Adventure hybrid include new 19-inch wheels with dark grey matte finish and a digital rear-view mirror.

The Adventure is still the only RAV4 available in the distinctive Safari Green colour.

Toyota has also created a new RAV4 XSE hybrid, sitting in between the GXL and Limited grades.

It introduces a two-tone colour scheme with gloss-black lower bumpers, grille, wheels, roof, wheel arch mouldings and mirror covers.

Inside, the XSE features synthetic leather upholstery with blue stitching, and black headlining.

There’s 10-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat and a seven-inch colour multiinformation display.

All RAV4 hybrid models now have a new LED headlight design, while the Limited has gained eight-way power adjustment for the front passenger seat, front seat ventilation and the same digital rear-view mirror as the Adventure hybrid.
