Welcome weekend rain kept the cattle in their paddocks this week reported Darryl Harwood of New Zealand Farmers Livestock.

3 year Hereford bulls 639 kg made $3.15/kg.

3 year Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 555 kg made $2.45/kg.

2 year Murray Grey cross steers 408 kg made $2.60/kg, Belgian Blue cross steers 410 kg made $2.70/kg,

Simmental cross steers 380 kg made $2.45/kg and Red Devon steers 405 kg made $2.42/kg.

2 year Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 273 kg – 295 kg made $2.14/kg - $2.37/kg, Friesian heifers 380 kg made $2.00/kg, cross bred heifers 520 kg made $2.45/kg and Jersey heifers 245 kg - 345 kg made $1.53/kg $1.76/kg.

18 month Angus cross steers 299 kg made $3.00/kg.

Yearling Speckle Park cross steers 235 kg made $2.43/kg.

Yearling Friesian - Hereford cross bulls 245 kg made $2.41/kg, Angus cross bulls 325 kg made $2.00/kg and Friesian bulls 187 kg made $2.64/kg.

Weaner Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 114 kg - 142 kg made $330 $400.

Boner Friesian cows 500 kg made $1.58/kg and Ayrshire boners 415 kg made $1.46/kg.

In the calf pens, Belgian Blue cross bull calves made $200 and Belgian Blue cross heifer calves made $105.
