Gear, first aid supplies stolen from sports club

A large amount of gear and first aid supplies were stolen from Athletic Sports Club last week. Sometime between 8pm last Tuesday and 6pm the following Thursday the club’s changing rooms on Bartholomew Rd were broken into and all the first aid supplies for the season ahead were stolen. Among items taken were massage rub, deep heat, ice spray, grip spray, first aid kits, rugby balls and some rugby boots. Athletic, who won the senior reserve competition, had been heartened by the support, through donations of strapping tape, ahead of their first game of the season against College Old Boys at Levin Domain.
