Ensuring Horowhenua voice is heard
Emma CLARKE
My principal place of residence is in the Horowhenua Constituency area.
I have had the privilege of being Horizons Horowhenua representative for the past triennium, I have worked tirelessly to ensure the voices of the Horowhenua have been heard at council.
With a flood of central government policy unleashed on local government we have a lot of work ahead of us.
I have the knowledge, and passion to ensure Horizons delivers the right outcomes for the Horowhenua and our region. We cannot afford another One Plan debacle which has cost industry, and ratepayers alike, and has failed to deliver workable policy in the Horowhenua especially. We deserve sustainable outcomes that help our region thrive.
Together with genuine engagement we can deliver on the ground outcomes that will help our environment and communities prosper. I would love the opportunity to ensure your voices are heard and your rates are spent wisely to achieve this. Emma Clarke for a sustainable Horizons.

I’m asking for your support to allow me to continue representing our community and ensure our environment has a strong voice.
We continue to face increasing challenges and urgency with our freshwater, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
We need leaders that can help navigate the complexity of these issues alongside central government and ensure we implement changes to help safeguard our future.
I have strong relationships throughout the region to allow me to achieve the best outcomes for our community and ensure future generations have an environment they can be proud of. I continue to advocate for transport, water quality, and nature, alongside the community.
With your support I will represent the Horowhenua for another three years and ensure people and the environment are at the heart of decision making at Horizons.

Having lived and farmed in Levin all my life, I have a passion for Horowhenua and a sense of pride for all it has to offer.
Our community and its needs are of utmost importance as is the preservation of our natural resources both coastal and rural which must be managed in accordance with climate change.
I encourage and support further improvements to the region’s amenities and resources and would actively promote honest and clear consultation between council and ratepayers to achieve this.
Levin is unique in so far as it borders the Kapiti Island fault line.
Due to this, extreme weather events will have a significant impact on Levin residents both rural and urban.
I therefore intend to promote an accountability in council operations and ensure decisions benefit all our community not a few.
