More than 120 run in trials

-

Levin Racing Club again attracted a large number of horses to its jumpout trials, held at the Mako Mako Rd racecourse last week.

There were 19 heats that attracted 125 entries, a blend of young horses using the experience for education, and older horses using the trials as fitness for raceday.

Most of the leading Central Districts stables had horses entered, including prominent Awapuni trainer Lisa Latta who lined up seven 2-yearolds earlier in the morning.

The open 1200m heat was taken out by Wellington Cup placegetter He No Opilio, trained at O¯ taki by Tony Allan, who also lined up Kaponga to win a 1200m heat by four lengths.

Levin trainer Josh Shaw gave promising mare Faraglioni a run along, finishing third in a 1000m heat.
