Exponentially scary statistics
Salim Ismail, an Indian-born Canadian working in Silicon Valley, spends his life thinking about the future, in particular a future dominated by exponential organisations – ones growing not in a linear fashion ( for example, 10% a year), but exponentially (eg doubling each year). He visited New Zealand last month, where he outlined a future where exponential growth in key technologies will change the world as we know it in ways that are awe-inspiring , and a bit scary.
