Tegan takes the top spot again
Tegen Bishop took out her last Groms comp of the season.
Bishop won the Under 18 Girls Division at the weekends Joyce & Co Winter Freeze Surf Comp, which was run by Northside boardriders and held at Waikuku on Saturday.
The event attracted surfers from as far as Dunedin and Kaikoura and offered groms from 12 to 18 their final comp of the surfing season.
The competitors enjoyed small, clean conditions all day.
The morning saw quarter and semi finals contested with over two hours of finals in the afternoon.
Christchurch’s North Wai Boardriders enjoyed outstanding success taking the top spot in all eight divisions, with surfers from Waikuku’s Northside Boardriders, Kaikoura Boardriders and Christchurch’s Point Surf Team also gaining podium positions.

Bishop will be competing again next week represent Rangiora High School in the Canterbury Scholastic Surfing Champs at New Brighton, before finally rounding out the season at Kaikoura’s Cold Water Classic during Queen’s Birthday Weekend.
