First Ka¯ piti Summer School all set

Ka¯ piti mayor K Gurunathan has launched the website for the inaugural Ka¯ piti Summer School.

The brainchild of two Ka¯ piti residents Lynette Ellison and Sue Harris, Ka¯ piti Summer School offers adults nearly 70 courses on a wide range of topics under headings such as artistic tasters, lifestyle, develop profession­alism, outdoors, for foodies and evening entertainm­ent.

Taking place from January 12-20, most of the courses will be held at Whitireia Campus, Kapiti Rd, Paraparaum­u, while others will take place at locations around the district.

Ka¯ piti Summer School has attracted about 55 local highcalibr­e tutors with an in-depth knowledge of their subjects and an enthusiasm to impart this knowledge to others. ■ The details of each course can be viewed on the website www.kapitisumm­erschool.co.nz with early bird prices as an encouragem­ent to book the pathway to acquire new skills or enhance interests.
