Kapiti Chal­lenge for Change men­tors, mentees as well as fam­ily mem­bers vis­ited Kapiti Is­land this month.

“Ev­ery­one made it to the top of the is­land, some choos­ing the chal­lenge of the trig track while oth­ers made their way to the top on the more so­phis­ti­cated path,” Kapiti Chal­lenge for Change co­or­di­na­tor San­cia Dun­can said.

“The weather was glo­ri­ous and the kids sol­diered on to the top de­spite it be­ing a chal­lenge for some.

“A great day was had by all. “This was made pos­si­ble by the gen­eros­ity of Glen Cooper and the team at Kapiti Is­land Eco Tours.”

Chal­lenge for Change is a not for profit or­gan­i­sa­tion pro­vid­ing a struc­tured men­tor­ing pro­gramme for young peo­ple aged be­tween 9 and 13 years old.
