Virtual Easter egg hunt adds fun
The traditional Easter egg hunt has taken a 3D twist, with a virtual hunt under way in a K¯apiti home for sale.
The home in Vera Lane, Paraparaumu, is for sale through Steph Bradley from Tall Poppy Real Estate.
Steph said she decided to use virtual technology to give potential buyers a realistic experience when viewing it online — while adding an element of fun.
A number of Easter eggs are hidden throughout the house, which people find while they view the property online — there’s also a chance of spotting the Easter Bunny.
“With this kind of technology, people can get a good sense of what it would be like to live there.
“They can also take family members and others through virtually and experience a whole new level of detail compared to traditional real estate marketing photos.”
She believes in supporting the local community and businesses and has worked with a range of locals to bring the virtual Easter egg hunt to life.
“I’m so proud of the talent we have in K¯apiti.
“Lee Frampton from 16-Nine did all the 3D photography, and the prize for the hunt (which is also in the virtual tour) showcases the fantastic local food producers we have — including Kapiteas, Little Bee K¯apiti Island Co Organic Bush Honey, the K¯apiti Candy Co and Glam Jams.”
She hoped the Easter egg hunt added an element of fun to what can often be a stressful process.
“Looking for the perfect home can be hard work.
“I think we owe it to potential house buyers to add a bit of variety into house hunting.”
Odette Coates, national marketing manager for Tall Poppy, said technology played an important role in the property market.

The home has a deadline for sale of April 24, 1pm, the Easter egg hunt runs until tomorrow, with the winner drawn on Friday, just in time for Easter.
