Learning to speak and present to audiences

-

Would you like to improve your verbal presentation skills but don't know how?

Oral communication is a part of daily life. We speak to each other, express opinions, offer information, ask questions and try to persuade someone to accept our point of view. However speaking to more than one or two people can be intimidating, it may make you nervous and uncomfortable.

Whether you are running or taking part in a business meeting, going for a job interview, making a presentation at your local club or selling an idea or product, the ability to constructively gather your thoughts and present them in a logical and articulate manner is a skill that will benefit you for life, in many ways.

Waikanae Toastmasters will shortly be offering a six week daytime Speechcraft workshop for anyone who feels they would like to improve their presentation skills. This is a structured programme run by experienced Toastmasters who will help you learn and practice in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Over six weeks you learn how to organise and express your thoughts, present ideas with confidence and receive supportive and empathetic feedback.

The Speechcraft course will take place on Mondays from 10am to noon from February 17 to March 23 at the Waikanae Club, Elizabeth St, Waikanae. The cost is $85.
