CREATIVE COMMUNITIES SCHEME

Attention all creatives with a project for this year! Approximately $20,000 is available in this funding round for arts and cultural projects from the Creative Communities Scheme. This Scheme is funded by Creative New Zealand and administered by the

Kapiti Coast District Council.

Projects must meet one or more of three key funding criteria:

• Broad community involvement – The project will create opportunities for our local communities to engage with and participate in arts activities.

Diversity – The project will support the diverse arts and cultural traditions of our local communities, enriching and promoting their uniqueness and cultural diversity.

Young people – The project will enable and encourage young people (under 18 years) to engage with and actively participate in the arts.

We welcome applications for projects with a Toi high degree of participation.

Key Dates for this funding round:

• 4pm, Friday 21st February 2020 - applications closing date

• Thursday 9th April 2020: Grants Allocation Committee meeting. Please note that your project must start after Thursday 9th April 2020. Application forms are available at Kapiti District Libraries, and on the Council website www.kapiticoast.govt.nz.
