Play equipment stolen from church grounds
Plea to return children’s slide and climbing cube
Waikanae Uniting Church are calling for their playground equipment to be returned. Sometime between Christmas and New Year’s Eve the children’s cube climbing frame and a slide on the lawn at the back of the Waikanae Uniting Church, corner of Ngapaki and Taiata streets was stolen.
The cube climbing frame is around 1.5m high and wide and has a slide coming out on one side.
The separate slide is around 1m high with steps up one side and slide on the other.
It is various colours — blue, pink, purple, yellow.
They have been on the lawn for 10 years and used by many children who have come to the Friday morning playgroup.
The church would like to have them back so the children this year can continue to enjoy them.
The police have been notified about the theft.
