Jazz event cancelled

Jazz in a Country Garden, originally scheduled for next month, has been cancelled because of the Covid-19 restrictions.

The event has held over the past four years in the beautiful Valley Rd, Paraparaumu, gardens owned by Shona and Tony Lincoln.

The concerts have been run by the Lions Club of Ka¯ piti and the June Oakley Memorial Youth Trust and money raised has gone to further cultural and sporting aspirations among Ka¯ piti’s youth.

Trust chairman Bill Pearson said Lions and the trust are disappointed they will be unable to do the same this year. “We remain hopeful however, that the pandemic will be history by next year and will allow the concert to be held again in March 2023.”
