Holtom’s flamingo heron

It is, indeed, great to see Holtom’s

Buildings restored and painted stylish pink. Thank goodness it was not demolished. It should certainly be heritage listed. I am dismayed to see the kotuku on the top has also been painted pink, making it look more like a flamingo. The whiteness of our heron is [a] major characteristic. I hope Todd Cameron will have our

rare bird restored to its proper colour.
