The Joy of Gardening By Lynda Hallinan, Photography by Sally Tagg, Allen & Unwin, $45 .. .. .. .. ..

-

.. .. A beautifully presented book about the joys of gardens.

Lynda Hallinan says she started gardening when she was 18.

“I can honestly say that it has brought me nothing but pleasure, from self-sown seedlings to bumblebees sleeping in dahlia blooms, these are the things that make our hearts sing.”

She is so right. There’s nothing like picking and eating your own produce from the garden, or cutting a bunch of beautiful blooms for yourself or a friend. It’s so good for the soul.

Hallinan focuses on working in harmony with nature and enjoying your garden.

This would make an excellent gift for the gardener in your life.
