Film festival
Each March¯the world comes together in Otaki to celebrate indigenous screen storytelling at Ma¯ oriland Film Festival, the largest indigenous film festival in the Southern Hemisphere. This year it’s postponed to Matariki 2022. Launched in 2014, the Ma¯ oriland festival is a celebration of indigenous voices and storytelling on film — uplifting the perspectives and stories of indigenous people. New dates will be announced on the Ma¯ oriland website shortly.
