Month-long celebration of ceramic art

Pottery group Unearth Your Local Potter are exhibiting at Summerstone Gallery in April. “There is a vibrant engine of activities again happening in our Ka¯piti Coast potting scene,” Pamella Annsouth said.

“The group have been producing a stunning collection of ceramic works from electric, gas, wood and soda firings.

“The results will be exhibited at the new Summerstone Gallery, on the corner of Te Roto and Ka¯piti roads in Paraparaumu.”

Made up of twelve potters from around the district, the group has a vast array of experience and skills.

“Each of the 12 artists will be showcasing their own distinctive skills, so expect to see an exciting variety of works.”

The opening is on Saturday and runs for the entire month of April finishing on May 8.

Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-3pm.
