The LTP and the Annual Plan
To guide our mahi/work and ensure we manage our budget and ratepayers’ money responsibly; Council works to detailed plans.
The Long-term Plan (LTP) sets our direction, our financial and infrastructure strategies, and our budget for the next 20 years, with a detailed focus on the first three years.
All councils develop a LTP every three years and an Annual Plan in the intervening two years. The Annual Plan is directly informed by the LTP.
We’re currently preparing our 2022/23 Annual Plan, which is year two of our LTP. Council has been busy assessing the current environment, refreshing information, identifying any necessary changes to what’s set out in the LTP, and updating budgets.
So far, Council is not proposing any significant changes and is sticking to the plan we consulted on last year.
Keeping you informed is important to us. Over the coming weeks we’ll be letting you know what our key deliverables and areas of focus will be in 2022/23, any minor changes to the LTP, and an update on rates for 2022/23.
