Big Box delayed

-

The Big Lions Bookfair Box has been an annual feature at Coastlands as a depository for book donations, but for the first time since 2002, it won’t be there until July. However, its temporary absence doesn’t mean there won’t be any bookfairs this year. Combined

Lions bookfair chairman Peter Cresswell said there are enough books in storage to make for another great winter sale on May 7 and sorting and packing has been under way in readiness for several weeks. “The Big Box will be back in Coastlands after the winter bookfair and we will be seeking donations for the October two-day Monster Bookfair.” Cresswell said last year’s outcome brought the total raised by the Lions club to more than $750,000. Anyone with a need to donate books earlier can call Jim Hall on 298 5131 or Peter Cresswell on 905 2699.
